Life Story

I was born in Atlanta and raised in Gadsden, AL. Though I attended a church while growing up, It wasn't until the age of 25 that I became a believer in Jesus. A few months later I began classes at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, finishing my Master's of Divinity in 2005. I have served in various roles of leadership in different churches (including youth pastor, college pastor, and associate pastor) before coming to Welsh Baptist Church as the Lead Pastor. My wife, Carol, and I married in June 2009 just before moving to Frostburg in August 2009.

Hope for Welsh Baptist Church

 My hope for Welsh Baptist Church is that we would be a faith family of men and women who know and worship the triune God rightly; that in view of His majesty we would walk in compassion, mercy and grace and that both our minds and our hearts would be full of and shaped by Him. I pray that when we as a church see God's glory, casual worship will no longer be possible, total surrender will no longer be optional, and global mission will no longer be negotiable. May we long for more of God and work to make Him famous among the nations starting right here in Frostburg.
