Kids Team
Description of Duties
Classroom teachers lead the classroom. They keep the children on schedule, implement the classroom curriculum and ensure that the children are safe and well cared for by following the policies of the Kids Ministry. The most important aspect of this position is building relationships with the preschoolers and their parents. It is the classroom teacher that has the greatest amount of time and influence with the children while they are with us.
Steps to Volunteering
We ask that our volunteers in this area be Covenant Members of Welsh Baptist Church. If you are not yet a member and wish to serve as a Kids volunteer, please e-mail us by using our online contact form and select “Ministries” from the category drop-down menu.
Audio/Visual Team
Positions Available
Audio
Mixing on the audio console during the Sunday worship gathering (training available).
Graphics
Operate ProPresenter which displays the slides we use during the Sunday worship gathering (training available).
Time Commitment
Currently our rotation is once a month on Sundays from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Dependability and Punctuality
Should you decide to serve on the Audio/Visual Team, it’s very important that you are committed to serving the dates which you are scheduled to work and that you arrive on time. With this particular ministry, if someone does not show up to serve on the date they are supposed to serve, it has a big effect on everybody else involved in the Sunday worship gathering.
Welcome Team
Description of Duties
The Welcome Team exists to provide a welcoming and safe environment for those coming to hear the gospel. Volunteers on this team serve our attendees by welcoming them into our church home. Opportunities are available to greet, pass out bulletins, and collect the offering.
Time Commitment
Volunteers begin serving 30 minutes before the Sunday worship gathering on a rotating schedule.
Worship Team
What Is Our Goal?
Our goal is to glorify God by worshipping Him and by leading the church into an awareness and enjoyment of God’s presence where we can respond in all ways biblical to Who He is, what He has done, and what He has promised to do (2 Corinthians 3:18). Worship is expressed by what we say, sing and the way we live (Psalm 34:3).
Things You Should Know
You must be able to take honest feedback during your initial meeting with our staff.
We need faithful players and singers who will be willing to play at least once a month.
Though we will place you in a ministry, it doesn’t guarantee you will stay in that ministry. It is up to that ministry leader to decide whether you are capable and trustworthy enough to serve in that specific role. If they take you out of the rotation, please return the next time we should have auditions.
